- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Im very sick right now, and had to take another day off from work because of it. I started feeling ill sat night, so of course I couldnt call earlier then today (monday) for an appointment. I called my usual Dr. in Watkins Glen and tried to get an appointment today, but they were filled and told me to contact the Guthrie Medical Clinic of Elmira. I called them and the woman was very rude to me, telling me if she did have anything it wouldn't matter because I needed to stay with my Dr. in Watkins. She not only implied that she did have openings, but also bluntly said she wouldnt help me. I know for a FACT if you're traveling and get sick ANY guthrie clinic will take you... esp if you have health care that works with them. Ive done it before! They were my last chance... The only thing left is the emergency room... but my heath coverage isnt THAT good... I'll be looking at a $300.00 cost at least just for them to look at my lungs... rather then just a $20 co-pay.
